LEED Silver Facility

At Reldan, we take pride in being one of the leading recyclers and processors of precious metals in the United States. Our state-of-the-art facility located in Fairless Hills, PA was designed and constructed in 2011 to meet the rigorous standards of LEED silver designation, ensuring that we comply with strict requirements for energy and water efficiency, employee safety, responsible materials handling, and waste reduction.

Attaining LEED Silver certification required a deep commitment to environmental stewardship.  Our building is crafted with energy-efficient designs, cutting-edge technology, and sustainable materials that minimize our environmental footprint.  Utilizing the hot air from our thermal destruction units to generate steam, which not only heats our facility but also runs some of our equipment, Reldan has reduced its heating consumption by 30%.

Why be a LEED Facility

LEED-certified buildings prioritize energy savings, water efficiency, reduced carbon emissions, and improved indoor air quality. Additionally, they take into account the design’s overall stewardship of resources and sensitivity to their environmental impact.

  • Compared to conventional buildings, LEED buildings consume 25% less energy on average and have an average Energy Star score of 89.
  • By 2030, LEED projects will have diverted more than 540 million tons of waste from landfills.
  • LEED is an effective tool for investors to meet their ESG goals by providing them with a globally recognized green building framework to measure and manage their real estate performance.
