Our History

For over 40 years we have refined end-of-life material to recover precious metals safely and responsibly. Our commitment to the environment begins with a central processing facility that was purposely designed to the highest environmental standards to operate cleanly, efficiently, and with minimal impact to our planet. Our flexible processing facility allows us to process virtually any waste material, both current and imagined in the future, to recover maximum precious metal value for our clients while eliminating toxic by-products and reducing landfill impact. Our clean and safe processes play a critical role in the circular economy by reducing dependence on precious metals mining for materials used in the manufacture of new technology products.

Foundation for Sustainable Refining

Abington Metals was established over 40 years ago, in 1979, to reclaim and reprocess precious metals and has since grown and flourished. It joined forces with Reldan Metals, Inc., and together, they established Abington Reldan Metals, LLC.

In 2011, Abington Reldan Metals constructed a state-of-the-art, sustainable, and LEED-Silver certified facility to help achieve the company’s goal of leading environmentally responsible precious metals refining. Furthermore, they have been awarded over a dozen environmental, health, and safety certifications. The company’s operations expanded globally to include Mexico and India. Today, the company is known as Reldan.
